By accessing or using PageGlue, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

Service Description

PageGlue is a free web-based service that allows users to:

  • Merge multiple PDF files and images into a single PDF document
  • Compress PDF files to meet size requirements
  • Reorder pages within merged documents
  • Convert images (JPEG, PNG, HEIC) to PDF format

Important:

All processing occurs locally in your web browser. PageGlue does not upload, store, or have access to your files at any time.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use PageGlue only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the service:

  • To process files containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • To violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • To infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
  • To attempt to circumvent rate limiting or other security measures
  • To interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • To use automated scripts or bots without permission

Disclaimers & Limitations

Service "As Is"

PageGlue is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy or reliability of results

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PageGlue shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or use
  • Business interruption
  • Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Your Files: Ensuring you have the right to process any files you use with our service
  • Backup: Maintaining backups of your original files before processing
  • Compliance: Ensuring your use complies with your institution's policies
  • Security: Protecting your device and browser from unauthorized access

Rate Limiting

To ensure fair usage and prevent abuse, PageGlue implements rate limiting:

  • Daily Limit: 10 uses per day
  • Hourly Limit: 5 uses per hour
  • Cooldown: 1 minute between uses
  • Social Bonus: +5 uses for sharing on social media

Rate limits are enforced through device fingerprinting stored locally in your browser.

Intellectual Property

PageGlue Property

The PageGlue service, including its interface, code, and design, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the files you process using PageGlue. Since processing occurs entirely in your browser, we never access or claim any rights to your content.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PageGlue, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you process through the service

Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the service at any time
  • Change features, functionality, or limits
  • Update these Terms of Service

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through the website.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately. All provisions of the Terms which should reasonably survive termination shall survive.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of PageGlue shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
